"Through nature of communication, it encourages student to involve in the learning environment as well as grab student’s attention. As a teacher, we should initiate frequent questioning. "
Ask a question demands a student to think before response. I always encourage student to comment on the pieces they are playing. This will sharpen their ear training skill as they are required to give out their opinion. Bearing in mind, listening is the basis throughout piano learning venture. This is one of the effective approaches to enhance their thinking through listening.
For example ask the student, “Are you satisfied with you playing? On the off chance that yes, why? Assuming no, how can we improve from that point?”
In this circumstance, students are more likely to pick up both the listening and playing abilities rather than knowledge based on teacher’s comment. In a nutshell, this is an important technique to assist student in a more comprehensive learning.
